YOUR ROOM

CHECK IN/OUT

Ask us and we will try to meet your requirements. You can always keep the luggage in the house. Just take all the time you need to say good-bye or to add a bit more extra luggage. Or just prolong your visit so you can stay a little longer.

YOUR VALUABLES:

Each room is equipped with an electronic safe in the cupboard.  It is open and the instructions to set your personal security code are in the safe. Just one piece of advice in advance: Take out the manual before you lock the safe!  And: Please remember to leave the safe open/unlocked when you check out!

ABOUT THE REMOTE ON YOUR HOUSE KEY:

You don’t need to be an engineer to understand the functions of the remote control! It’s as simple as that:

Blue:    Operates the driveway electric gate (sometimes). If not use your muscle power and report it please!

Red:     Outside Alarm on/off (if you press it by accident, you will here a beep in the house, just press it again)

HAIRDRYER:

The nicest way to dry your hair is letting it blow dry by the south easter. But of course if you are in hurry to get ready for dinner you find one in your room!

MINIBAR:

Doesn’t exist. Too many nice bars around the corner or share a bottle of nice SA wine with friends in the house.

INSIDE the HOUSE

Keep on reading, we are very impressed!

KITCHEN:

It is more then enough space for everybody! Just look for your room number on a sticker on the shelves or in the refrigerator.

  • If you want to have a braai you will find the grill outside on the terrace. Braai wood is available at the petrol station or you should find some underneath the braai!
  • After your meals all dirty dishes, pots and pans should be loaded into the dishwashing machine or just keep it in the so called scullery (the small room behind the kitchen) and Ellen will take care of it. If you want to be especially nice you could even press the “start” button and you get a big smile from Ellen! J
  • Nespresso Capsulas could be bought in town or in most of the supermarkets,

HOUSEKEEPING:

You will see Ellen from Monday to Friday preparing your room, bathroom and the rest of the house. Tipping is a nice way to show our staff that you are happy with their work. If you require fresh towels please leave your used towels on the floor, otherwise they will not be changed every day. By the way tipping in restaurants is 10% and any other helping personal (parking etc) 5 Rand.

SPOTLESS SHIRT and LAUNDRY DAY

You may find this hard to understand, but we love doing your laundry and returning it to you cleaned and ironed! Ellen will only charge you R 150 for a full load and R 75 for a half load! There is no self service because it is Ellen’s territory! :-) There is a Laundromat at the Sunset Beach Center if you have special or dry-cleaning requirements. A laundry bag in the cupboard. Just leave it with Ellen and she will take care of it.

TV and DVD:

Switch on and zap channels. There are a lot of cable television programs available to all guests in the lounge. Please use the instructions located on the table. Don’t fight for the remote! For an alternative look out for 2 DVD storage bags. If you use the Junior Suite don’t forget that there are also some bored people downstairs waiting for some movies so please bring down the DVDs. Pick out your favorite films.

OUTSIDE the HOUSE

SPORTS EQUIPMENT:

Windsurfing and other sports equipment can be stored in the small garage which is basically very big.

SWIMMING POOL:

Sometimes the pool is covered to keep the water temperature at a comfortable level.  If you feel like swimming just roll it up with the handle on the side of the wooden box.  You will find beach towels at the entrance or just ask Ellen. Please to not use our white towels for the beach. The wont stay white and Ellen will be really sad L

IMPORTANT! Please be vigilant if you have children staying with you.  We cannot take responsibility for children and it is imperative that you are always aware of where your children are.  Drowning only takes a few seconds!!

PARKING:

Cars can be parked in the driveway inside the electric gate what doesn’t look really nice or outside on the road which is not a problem at all as long as you don’t leave your laptop visible in the car J.  If you park inside the gate please keep your car to one side so that a second one will fit in.

OUTSIDE the PLOT

SHOPPING & DINING:

At the entrance to Sunset Beach, behind the fuel station, you find a small Shopping Mall which has everything you might need. For the best ideas for breakfast, lunch or dinner check out our foodie hotspots!!
